About Us
Josh started Axis Design Inc. as a hobby in 2011. A COVID-related layoff in 2020 lead him to look for new opportunities, which made him realize he could make his passion a full-time business.
Josh was on a call with a good friend who was struggling to find metal hand sanitizer stands for his business. He needed product and he needed it now. Josh offered to make the stands. His friend hired him. Josh precut the parts for the project in his garage and then used a metal supplier to finalize the order.
His friend was very satisfied with the results and told him that this quick capability and skills could really scale to become a successful business.
Josh started letting more people know what he was doing. He was able to do both small and large projects for everyday people and for businesses.
Today, Josh works out of his shop bay in Valley, Nebraska and has plans of owning his own building to work out of with his wife, who is also self-employed, and other small businesses.
Josh has hired multiple staff members to help him fulfill custom and bulk orders. More projects are coming in, which is leading to needing more hands on deck.
Josh says, "You only live once, so you might as well have fun with it and do what makes you happy."
